Arriva opts for Hitachi fleet charging solution at Brixton depot
Arriva, one of London’s biggest bus operators, recently replaced half of the 44 double-decker buses at its Brixton Tramshed depot in south London with new electric vehicles. ZenobÄ“, Arriva’s solution provider, chose Hitachi Energy’s Grid-eMotion Fleet system to charge the 22 e-buses.

London Borough of Sutton gets 113 charge points
The London Borough of Sutton is installing 113 new EV charging points across the borough. Sutton Council has teamed up with Siemens and their partner Ubitricity to provide new charging points which use electricity from existing lamp columns.

Uber invests £5 million installing 700 chargers in London
In London, the boroughs of Brent, Newham and Redbridge are cooperating with Uber to install 700 chargers for electric cars on London streets. Uber is investing £5 million in the chargers, which will be branded by Uber but available for all drivers to use.

Largest charging park in the UK yet to open in north London
Franklin Energy wants to install a 236-bay electric vehicle charge hub at Brent Cross Shopping Centre in North London, potentially making it the largest facility of its kind in the UK. The hub will become part of Franklin’s LiFe Network and use chargers by EVBox.

Hidden kerbside EV charging by Trojan Energy in London
Startup company Trojan Energy is trialling electric vehicle chargers that are only visible when a car is charging. The Subsurface Technology for Electric Pathways (STEP) project will see 200 kerbside chargers installed across the London boroughs of Brent and Camden.
