MAN to manufacture e-truck batteries in Nuremberg
MAN Truck & Bus says it will begin mass-producing high-voltage batteries for electric trucks and buses at its Nuremberg site from 2025. The company is ready to invest €100 million over the next five years at a place once famous for combustion engine production.
MAN targets heavy electric truck production in 2024
MAN Truck & Bus has announced the start of production of heavy electric trucks in Munich for the beginning of 2024 – almost a year earlier than planned. The delivery of an initial 200 units is to follow promptly. MAN also presented a near-production prototype of the new electric truck for the first time.
MAN vamps up fleet management tool
MAN Truck & Bus is restructuring the services in its MAN eManager control tool that was introduced just under a year ago. The tool is a digital command centre for fleet managers who work with the MAN Lion City E electric bus or the eTGE electric transporter.
MAN to supply Lion electric buses to Copenhagen
Public transit operator Anchersen has ordered 25 electric buses from MAN Truck & Bus to service in Copenhagen. Delivery is scheduled for the end of the year. Anchersen says it will use the battery-electric buses on Copenhagen’s central bus route 7A, which carries more than 4.3 million passengers each year.
SE: Malmö orders 22 electric MAN buses
The bus operator Nobina Sverige has ordered 22 Lion’s City E electric buses from MAN Truck & Bus, whose series production recently started in Poland. The 22 fully electric buses will go into service in Malmö from June 2021.
