Nextbike: New locations for e-bike sharing in Spain

Nextbike, the bike-sharing provider acquired by Tier, is expanding its presence in Spain. The service’s launch in Palma de Mallorca just before the turn of the year was followed by launches in the Barcelona metropolitan region, Getxo and Mislata at the start of 2023.

ESB launches e-bike sharing pilot in Dublin

Irish energy supplier ESB has launched an e-bike pilot project in Dublin called ESB eBikes. The trial will run for ten months and includes 112 bikes with 14 charging stations in some of Dublin’s busiest commuter locations. ESB also won experienced partners.

Porsche acquires lightweight e-bike maker Fazua in full

Porsche has taken over Fazua, a manufacturer of light and compact drive systems for e-bikes. The take over follows Porsche earlier taking a 20-per cent stake in the German start-up. It is also part of a drive at Porsche to expand its e-bike business.
