Daimler Trucks and Total join forces on H2 infrastructure
Truck manufacturer Daimler Truck and the energy group Total have signed an agreement to work together on the development of a hydrogen infrastructure for heavy trucks in the European Union. The two corporations will initial focus on Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg and France.
Felyx expands micromobility in 3 German cities
The Dutch micromobility company Felyx is expanding in Europe. In Germany, the company is spreading out to Berlin and increasing its existing fleets in Düsseldorf and Hamburg. Felyx is now putting another 1,500 electric moped scooters on German streets.
Fuso eCanter: route & mission profile analysis via app
Fuso is now bringing the ‘eTruck Ready’ app from group parent Daimler Trucks to selected European markets for the Fuso eCanter. The application allows potential customers to check whether their application profiles and routes are suitable for the all-electric light truck.
Amsterdam’s GVB orders another 44 VDL e-buses
Amsterdam’s public transport operator GVB has ordered 44 Citea SLFA-180 Electric articulated electric buses from VDL Bus & Coach. The zero-emission buses are scheduled to arrive in the city in early 2022 and will join the 31 electric buses from VDL already in service there.

Charging specialist Eneco eMobility and installation service provider Solutions 30 are expanding their cooperation. Building on their cooperation in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, the duo now intends to increasingly serve major customers such as Ford Germany and Jaguar Land Rover.
Uber drivers get special deals on Hyundai EVs
Hyundai Motor has entered into a strategic partnership with Uber in Europe. Through this cooperation, Hyundai will offer Uber drivers discounted access to its Ioniq Electric and Kona Electric models, as well as future all-electric vehicle models.
EVBox opens North America HQ near Chicago
EVBox, the Dutch charging infrastructure specialist belonging to the energy group Engie, has signed the lease for its first North American headquarters and production facility in the US state of Illinois. It is located in Libertyville, 65 kilometres north of Chicago.
DAF unveils 3-axle electric garbage disposal truck
The Dutch manufacturer DAF now also offers its CF Electric electric truck as a three-axle truck with a gross vehicle weight of 28 tonnes. The first examples will be tested this year as refuse trucks by the Dutch waste disposal companies HVC and ROVA.
Rotterdam gets funding for 208 e-buses
The European Investment Bank has granted a loan of 115 million euros to public transport operator RET in Rotterdam. RET will primarily be using these funds to purchase 105 electric and 103 hybrid buses, along with the associated charging infrastructure.
