NL: Park ‘n Charge to double charging network
Dutch charge point operator Park’ n Charge announces financing of €16.4 mn through Rabobank. The company wants to spend the money on doubling its network of six thousand charging stations in the Netherlands in the next two years.

EBS orders 193 VDL electric buses in the Netherlands
VDL Bus & Coach has received its largest order for electric buses to date. The Dutch public transport company EBS has ordered 193 new-generation VDL Citeas to operate the newly awarded Zaanstreek-Waterland concession from December 2023.

Dying to be in a Tesla
In the Netherlands, the Dutch company Derks Uitvaartmobiliteit has converted the Tesla Model 3 into a hearse. The company calls the vehicle the Tesla Hearse 3, which is based on the Model 3 with rear-wheel drive and a standard Range Plus battery.

10,000 charging stations destined for Dutch airports
Royal Schiphol Group plans to install 10,000 charging stations for electric vehicles at its airports by 2030. The Dutch airport operator has already completed the tenders awarding the project to local companies Ecotap and FIMIH.

Amsterdam goes for another 84 VDL electric buses
Amsterdam’s public transport operator GVB has ordered another 84 electric buses from VDL Bus & Coach. The 84 new generation VDL Citeas will be in put into service from 2023 onwards. The framework agreement also includes an option for a further 130 VDL Citeas.

5,000 Lightyear electric cars for sharing via MyWheels
In the Netherlands, the solar car start-up Lightyear is cooperating with The Sharing Group to integrate its vehicles into their car-sharing platform MyWheels. Lightyear is also making its Lightyear One sedan significantly more expensive for private customers.
