VW Components to expand plant in Kassel
In Germany, Volkswagen Group Components has announced plans to expand its site in Kassel into a “key supplier for e-mobility”. The first step is to increase the number of production lines. The longer term plan is for the plant to only manufacture purely electric vehicles.

Audi to accelerate fuel cell vehicle development
Audi wants to intensify the development of fuel cell cars, despite the mother group’s focus on battery electric mobility. Audi boss Bram Schot said: “We really want to accelerate it. We will give more priority to hydrogen fuel cells – more money, more capacity and more confidence.”

Audi CFO expects electric cars to turn a profit
Audi’s head of finance, Alexander Seitz is convinced that the brand’s electric cars will be as profitable as comparable conventional models thanks to economies of scale through the overarching Volkswagen Group as well as the cooperation with Porsche.
