Norway has long been considered a role model for electric vehicles, and the 2025 annual statistics impressively reinforce this: 96 percent of new cars were electric vehicles. Other types of drivetrains are increasingly becoming niche products. Additionally, electric passenger cars in Norway have now also surpassed diesel cars in the existing vehicle stock.
