Hubject partners with AmpUp for the North American market

Hubject has announced a partnership with the North American EV charging solutions provider AmpUp. It allows the latter to offer plug-and-charge in a first step, as well as access to Hubject's roaming network.

As a first step, AmpUp will integrate Hubject’s Plug&Charge platform. It means users can initiate automatic authentication and payment for a charging session. Then, AmpUp’s EV charging station will be connected to Hubject’s global eRoaming network, providing access to over 1,000,000 charging points worldwide.

“Charger availability and ease of use are vital for making the EV transition accessible to all,” explains Thomas Sun, CEO of AmpUp. “By partnering with Hubject, we are committed to enhancing the charging experience for our customers while expanding charging opportunities in their communities.”

Hubject emphasises that it, too, will benefit from the partnership, as its influence in North America is growing, and it is “building stronger relationships with North American CPOs and OEMs.”
