RAW Charging announced a new partnership with the British gardening charity Royal Horticultural Society (RHS). The first stage of the contract will see RAW deliver over 90 EV charging bays across five RHS Gardens in the UK.

The charge point operator and the gardening society plan to install over 90 charging stations at all RHS gardens, including the RHS Wisley, RHS Bridgewater, RHS Harlow Carr, RHS Hyde Hall and RHS Rosemoor locations. By the summer of 2025, they plan to have completed the construction, subject to approvals. No mention was made of the charging capacities, however considering RAW Charging’s other projects, AC chargers are likely. There was also no mention of how the plans could proceed beyond the 90 charging stations, however, RAW Charging wrote: “By installing EV charging bays at RHS’s iconic locations, RAW Charging is supporting the commitment to sustainability and in particular its ambition to be climate positive by 2030.”

This does not mark the first such partnership for RAW, which previously launched the roll-out of 162 chargers for National Trust, across multiple Merlin Entertainments sites, including Legoland Windsor and Alton Towers. RAW also installed chargers at retail sites for McArthurGlen and for other major landlords aberdeen and Aviva Investors.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Royal Horticultural Society to bring our market leading EV charging solutions to some of the UK’s most beloved public attractions. This contract underscores our commitment to making EV charging more accessible and convenient for drivers across the leisure and hospitality sectors,” commented Jason Simpson, CEO of RAW Charging, adding: “By installing over 90 charging bays at five RHS Gardens, we are not only supporting sustainable travel but also enhancing the visitor experience at these iconic locations.”
