Efacec introduces new HPC generation

The Portuguese charging station manufacturer Efacec has announced the premiere of the HPC 240/400 at Power2Drive Europe. In addition to the new fast charger, a modular DC charger with a maximum output of 120 kW will also be presented at the trade fair in Munich.

However, the new high-performance charger with its two variants will take centre stage at the Efacec stand, as the company wrote. The HPC 240 offers a maximum charging capacity of 240 kW, while the HPC 400 is designed for a peak of 400 kW, as the names suggest. However, the focus during development was on increasing availability and improving sustainability in addition to performance.

“With improved functions, greater efficiency and scalability, this solution has been specially developed to meet the requirements of modern energy infrastructures, especially in high-traffic areas and for heavy goods vehicles,” the Portuguese company explained. Heavy electric trucks with large batteries can call up a high charging capacity for much longer than electric cars, which poses an additional challenge for the charging station and its thermal management. However, Efacec did not go into detail here.

In addition to the new high-performance charger, the modular QC 120 Charger will also be presented. According to the company, it offers customisable and scalable fast charging solutions with an output power of 60 kW to 120 kW and a new Active Boost function, which should enable a current output of up to 400 amps. Both new charging stations already received their calibration certificate for Germany.

In addition to the hardware, Efacec will also present the EVCore CPMS and EVCore LMS systems at its stand C.6580 – two intelligent management solutions for optimising the charging infrastructure and increasing operational efficiency for fleet operators and charging point operators.

This is the Portuguese company’s first time at the trade fair in Munich. “Participating in Power2Drive Europe 2025, together with so many important players in the industry, is an extremely valuable opportunity for us,” said André Cruz, Commercial Director for EV Charging Solutions at Efacec. “This event is the ideal platform not only to bring our well-known portfolio closer to our customers, but above all to present our new product, which represents a significant technological advance and opens up new markets for us.”
