The combined solution from Hubject and ChargeHub is intended to enable e-mobility service providers (eMSPs) to offer Plug&Charge functionality to their customers at charging stations. The companies speak of “a complete end-to-end Plug&Charge experience,” which also includes a streamlined financial settlement and billing process.

Hubject’s Plug&Charge ecosystem utilises vehicle-based authentication, allowing charging sessions to begin automatically at compatible charge points. The solution is based on the international standard ISO 15118-2 and ensures a secure and fully automated communication process between electric vehicles and charging stations.

“This new partnership brings together two key industry leaders who are committed to providing simplified solutions for Plug&Charge, one of the industry’s most complex challenges, but also one of the most important solutions to accelerating EV adoption in North America,” said Simon Ouellette, CEO at ChargeHub.

“The evolution of eMobility is built on the foundation of reliable and interoperable industry collaboration,” added Trishan Peruma. “We’re excited to be bringing Hubject Plug&Charge to even more EV drivers’ across North America.”
