DLL and ChargeTronix partner on finance for EV charger leasing
The two companies state they want to tackle a key barrier to the expansion of EV infrastructure, i.e. access to capital. In essence, the partnership amounts to financing agreement whereby DLL will offer financing options for ChargeTronix AC and DC fast chargers. ChargeTronix says it believes this will enable more “commercial fleets, workplaces, site operators and municipalities” to obtain and install EV charging hubs through lease agreements, without needing significant upfront investments.
What it looks like in practice for customers: they’ll be able to choose from a variety of flexible lease options and manage their accounts through a single digital platform. Lease terms will range from 24 to 60 months, with the option to renew, upgrade, return or purchase after that. ChargeTronix will also offer unspecified support for charging for light, medium, and heavy-duty fleets, although again, no details have been provided.
When it comes to hardware, ChargeTronix offers a broad suite of EV charging systems. Its 1,280 kW Nexus Distributed Charging System was reportedly the fastest commercial truck charger on the market when it was announced in April 2025. It enables class 6 to 8 electric trucks to charge up to 80 per cent in around 30 minutes, and has capacity for up to 16 outputs – meaning it can charge entire fleets over longer dwell times or provide rapid charging for a single vehicle. ChargeTronix’s third-gen 240kW APEX SXE chargers, also announced in April 2025, feature a larger screen, ‘intelligent power distribution’, plus a number of safety features; the company states these can charge medium or light EVs in 20 minutes or a heavy-duty vehicle in an hour. They also come in 60kW, 120kW, and 160kW varieties.
Commenting on the partnership, ChargeTronix’s head of Marketing and PR Amir Razi said: “Partnering with DLL allows us to meet our customers where they are—delivering not just high-performance charging equipment, but the financial flexibility needed to deploy it quickly. By reducing financial friction, we’re helping accelerate the EV transition across key industries.”
Gary Rigelsky, the Regional Commercial Manager of Energy Transition at DLL added: “DLL and ChargeTronix share a common goal: to make electrification more accessible, scalable, and financially viable for all types of organizations across multiple sectors. This partnership is a true testament to the power of best-in-class technology and flexible financing for customers looking to contribute to the energy transition.”
