ACMobility plans to use Shell’s nationwide service station network for the next phase of its EV charging expansion in the Philippines. The company will install DC fast chargers with power outputs ranging from 60 to 120 kW at 50 outlets nationwide.

In the fourth quarter of 2025 (October to December), ACMobility will deploy the new DC fast chargers at 20 Shell service stations. From the start, the company intends to cover all three of the country’s main regions: Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

ACMobility will install DC fast chargers at the remaining 30 Shell outlets in 2026. The company states the 50 sites form the first phase, indicating further expansion is planned. Customers will be able to locate the new chargers, monitor charging status and make payments via the Evro app for iOS and Android devices.

Sharing her views on the collaboration, ACMobility’s Head of Mobility Infrastructure, Carla Buencamino, said, “ACMobility is pleased to welcome Shell as a partner in delivering the Philippine EV Spine Network.” Jolo Valdez, Head of Non-Fuel Retail and E-Mobility for Mobility at Shell, added, “Shell shares ACMobility’s vision of advancing sustainable mobility in the Philippines.”

Shell currently has only a limited presence in the Philippines’ EV charging market. At present, the company offers 180 kW DC fast chargers and 22 kW AC chargers at two service stations, as well as 22 kW AC chargers at eight destination and mall locations.

ACMobility, by contrast, operates 239 charging points across 103 locations in the Philippines, according to Ayala Corporation’s Q2 2025 financial report. In May, the company deployed the country’s fastest EV chargers with outputs of up to 480 kW. It aims to expand its charging network to more than 2,500 charging points in the future.
