Changan is supplying the 443 Deepal EVs via asap Car Rental, a service provider based in Mueang Samut Prakan District, Samut Prakan Province. Krungthai Bank is leasing all the EVs from the local rental company and has already taken delivery of the first batch.

The Chinese automaker states that the fleet order consists of three models: the Deepal S05 compact SUV, the Deepal S07 mid-size SUV, and the Deepal L07 mid-size saloon. The company has not disclosed the split by model. To retail buyers, the EVs are priced at 799,000 baht (approx. €21,300), 1,399,000 baht (approx. €37,400), and 1,329,000 baht (approx. €35,500), respectively.

In Thailand, Changan equips the Deepal S05 with a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) producing 175 kW and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 56.12 kWh LFP battery pack that delivers an NEDC range of 470 km. The Deepal S07 features a 190 kW/320 Nm rear-mounted PMSM and a 66.8 kWh NMC battery pack with an NEDC range of 485 km. The Deepal L07 has the same powertrain and battery but achieves 540 km (NEDC) thanks to the aerodynamic and weight advantages of its body style.

In May, Changan inaugurated its first overseas new energy vehicle (NEV) factory in Pluak Daeng District, Rayong Province, and began assembling the Deepal S05 there. The company launched the compact SUV in Europe last week at IAA Mobility 2025.

Krungthai Bank began integrating EVs into its fleet and installing charging stations in 2022. In its 2024 sustainability report, the bank announced plans to replace 1,945 ICE vehicles with EVs by 2030 and had leased 326 units to date. Last month, it confirmed it was accelerating the transition and reported cutting more than 238 tonnes of CO2 equivalent through the EVs leased between 2022 and 2024. The bank aims to operate 680 EVs by the end of this year, which indicates asap Car Rental could deliver the full order of 443 Deepal EVs by 2026.
