Togg announces the prices of the T10X and T10F for launch in Germany
Turkish car manufacturer Togg successfully launched its first model, the T10X, in its home country in 2023 and now wants to tap into Germany as its second market. The market launch was celebrated at the IAA Mobility, but the actual launch will take place on 29 September. The two technically closely related models, the T10X and T10F, can now be configured in this country. However, only the preliminary top version, the ‘V2 RWD Long Range’, is available.
Orders are placed via the brand’s own app, ‘Trumore’. A deposit of €1,000 is required, which is fully refundable. The first batch consists of a total of 1,000 cars, 600 of which are to be delivered to German customers this year. Specifically, deliveries are scheduled to start at the end of October.
The basic versions start at £34,295
It is interesting to note that Togg has priced its saloon and SUV identically. At launch, the two series in the aforementioned top-of-the-range ‘V2 RWD Long Range’ version will cost €41,200. However, the vehicles are not actually available at this price initially, but only pre-configured with additional equipment such as the winter and starter package, Smart Assist, panoramic roof and a Meridian sound system. This means that the T10Fs available at market launch are almost fully equipped and cost €45,590 including delivery. The SUV counterpart is £170 more expensive. Otherwise, buyers can only tick the boxes for the cream-coloured interior and a ‘Black’ package for the roof and exterior mirrors.
The cheaper versions are also expected to be available from the first quarter of next year. The price lists for the saloon and SUV are identical. The ‘V1 RWD Standard Range’ version is available for £34,295. In the middle is the ‘V1 RWD Long Range’ variant, which costs £40,118. It basically offers the same technology as the top model available at market launch, but with slightly less equipment.
Sedan has a significantly longer range
The key technical specifications of the SUV and sedan are definitely up to date, so the price-performance ratio of the newcomers from Turkey is impressive. When you factor in the extensive standard equipment, the T10X, for example, is quite a bit cheaper than a comparable and similarly sized Volkswagen ID.4. On the other hand, the range of the base model, which has a battery capacity of 52.4 kWh, is rather modest at 314 kilometres according to WLTP. The ‘Long Range’ version can manage 523 kilometres with a fully charged 88.5 kWh battery.
The T10F sedan, recently unveiled at the IAA Mobility, also goes significantly further thanks to its improved aerodynamics. Although both models have the same batteries, the ‘cash register’ has a range of 350 kilometres, while the data sheet for the upmarket version with the large power storage unit states 623 kilometres.
Togg aims to score points with software and infotainment
The peak charging power for both models is 180 kW. Ideally, charging from 20 to 80 per cent takes 28 minutes. The Turkish electric cars draw 22 kW of power from AC charging stations. Power is always provided by a 160 kW electric motor on the rear axle, which accelerates the 4.60-metre-long T10X SUV to 185 kph. The 23-centimetre-longer saloon has a top speed of 177 kph.
However, Togg wants to impress less with its battery and charging technology than with its advanced infotainment and software features, for which the Turkish company also relies in part on artificial intelligence. When boredom sets in, passengers can generate their own music with an AI assistant, for example. Togg’s so-called ‘Smartscreen’, which stretches across the entire dashboard, also creates a modern atmosphere in the cockpit.
