Suzuki has announced that the fully electric e Vitara has now officially launched in the UK. This follows the first customer deliveries of the BEV earlier in October.

The e Vitara is available in the UK in either 49kWh or 61kWh battery varieties with the option to add Suzuki’s electric all-wheel drive (AWD) system, the ALLGRIP-e. In addition to a basic 49kWh battery variant, there are also a number of 61 kWh capacity versions available. Furthermore, the e Vitara is available in both Motion and Ultra grades. The smallest variant has a maximum output of 106 kW, the middle one 128 kW, and the top variant has a front motor with 128 kW and a rear motor with 48 kW. The maximum torque for the first two models is 189 Nm, while the top variant offers up to 300 Nm.

Not much else has changed technically since June, when electrive last reported on the Suzuki e Vitara in the UK; however, there has been some tweaks to the price tag of the e Vitara range thanks to the introduction of the new Electric Car Grant (ECG) scheme. Whereas the starting price for the 49kWh Motion model was previously £29,999, UK customers can now buy it for £26,249; a saving of £3750 which also applies to the other four models. The full final price list includes:

49kWh Motion 2WD£26,249
61kWh Motion 2WD£29,249
61kWh Ultra 2WD£32,049
61kWh Motion ALLGRIP-e 4WD£31,249
61kWh Ultra ALLGRIP-e 4WD£34,049

One caveat: these prices will only be available until December 31, 2025, after which it is unclear whether they will revert to a higher price or an alternative incentive scheme will be put in place. Suzuki will also offer a free Ohme home charger to any customers purchasing an e Vitara in that time.
