Changan finds sales partner in the Netherlands with Emil Frey
According to Changan, this partnership is another milestone in the company’s strategy to be present in a total of more than ten European markets by the end of the year. Both the Deepal S05 and S07 are planned to be presented to the public for the first time at the Utrecht Fleet Expo on 12 and 13 November.
Both models combine range, safety, and practicality with advanced charging capabilities of up to 200 kW. The S05 made its European debut at the IAA Mobility 2025 in Munich and offers a driving range of up to 485 kilometres (WLTP), while the S07 reaches up to 475 kilometres of range. We tested out the Deepal S05 not long ago and found it to be a comfortable drive.
Changan has been active in Europe for some time, having opened its European Design Centre in Turin in 2001 and its European Research and Development Centre in the UK in 2010.
To ensure short delivery times, Changan has a total of two spare parts warehouses in Europe. One of these is located in Helmond, near Eindhoven in the Netherlands. At this site, the Chinese group works together with logistics specialists Kühne+Nagel. The market launch in the Netherlands represents a major step for Changan – by the end of the year, the Chinese car manufacturer aims to be represented in over ten European markets.
“Emil Frey’s extensive experience in automotive sales and service makes them our
partner of choice for our launch in the Netherlands,” said Ethan Yin, Executive Deputy General Manager of Changan Europe. He added: “Together with Emil Frey we are laying the foundation for Changan’s long-term success in the Netherlands.”
“Changan’s product portfolio impressed us from the very beginning,” explained Simon Luijckx, CEO at Emil Frey Nederland, “As one of the four major Chinese Automobile groups Changan has a history of more than 40 years car manufacturing. Their ‘In Europe for Europe strategy’ underlines deep understanding of different market needs, important to be successful.”
