China reported over 1.2 million sales of BEVs and PHEVs in April. In terms of numbers, sales in the latter half of 2024 were sometimes higher. However, vehicles with plugs reached a new record of 47.3 per cent sales share last month. China is thus edging closer to the symbolic 50 per cent threshold.
