At the last two editions of the iconic trade show, it seemed as if German carmakers were overrun by competition from the Far East. Chinese manufacturers again played a major role this year, but the real stars of the show are from Germany. The BMW iX3 can almost be referred to as the saviour of the domestic industry, while future visions from Audi, Mercedes and VW also offer reason for optimism.
