Daimler Truck is adopting an austerity programme and softening its previous drive strategy. The Stuttgart-based commercial vehicle manufacturer is considering the contract production of electric trucks and is postponing the launch of its H2 truck until the early 2030s. In addition, around 5,000 jobs are to be lost in Germany by 2030.
