BNEF: EVs will be cheaper than petrol cars in all segments by 2027

Electric cars and vans will be cheaper to produce than ICE in Europe by 2027 at the latest, according to a new study by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) commissioned by T&E. Should lawmakers adopt new measures such as stricter CO2 targets for vehicles, battery-powered electric vehicles could account for 100 per cent of new sales across the EU by 2035, BNEF adds.
