The environmental organisation Transport & Environment (T&E) has assessed European truck brands in terms of their decarbonisation plans, taking into account the brands‘ announcements to switch to zero-emission trucks as well as the concrete measures taken towards industrialisation. The report also looks at how European manufacturers compare to their competitors in the US and China – primarily Tesla and BYD. The T&E decarbonisation ranking of European truck brands is led by Scania, Mercedes-Benz Trucks and MAN. They are followed by Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks and Iveco. DAF lands in last place.
