Recharge EU: how many charge points will Europe and its Member States need in the 2020s

To make the EU climate-neutral by 2050 as planned, around 3 million public charging stations for 44 million electric vehicles will be needed by 2030, according to a new analysis by Transport & Environment. This is more than 15 times the 185,000 public charging points currently available in the EU.
