The 2025 CO2 targets for new heavy-duty vehicles in Europe
Summary
The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) has made an analysis of the progress made by European truck manufacturers in meeting the EU’s first CO2 targets for trucks and buses. Five out of the seven main manufacturers in the European Union are expected to easily meet the targets. However, this has less to do with electric trucks than with improved diesel engines.
