A Vision for a Sustainable Battery Value Chain in 2030
Summary
According to a new study by the World Economic Forum and the Global Battery Alliance, the global demand for batteries could increase 19-fold by 2030 and, driven by the strong growth of e-mobility (30% annually), increase to more than 3,500 GWh (2018: 184 GWh). A sustainable battery value chain could create 10 million new jobs and an economic value added of 150 billion US dollars.
