Electric vehicle capitals: Showing the path to a mainstream market
Summary
The International Council on Clean Transportation published an update of its analysis „Electric vehicle capitals“. With more than 242,000 electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids sold by 2018, Shanghai remains the leading market ahead of Beijing (220,000) and Los Angeles (202,000). If only the BEVs are considered, Beijing (approx. 218,000 approvals) leads by a large margin ahead of Hangzhou (98,000).
