Global EV Outlook 2023 Catching up with climate ambitions

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has published the new edition of its annual „Global Electric Vehicle Outlook“. According to the report, global sales of battery-electric cars and plug-in hybrids reached a new record year in 2022, passing the 10 million mark, and a global share of 14 per cent of total car sales. For 2023, the IEA expects a further increase in BEV and PHEV sales to 14 million cars and a share of 18 per cent.
