Market monitor: European passenger car registrations, January–December 2020
Summary
In 2020, more electric cars will be registered in Europe than ever before, according to a market report by the ICCT. The market share of EVs increased from three per cent in 2019 to eleven per cent in 2020. At the same time, the average CO2 emissions of the entire new car fleet dropped from 122 grams of CO2 per kilometre in 2019 to an estimated 107 grams of CO2 in 2020.
