The changing face of the automotive industry – employment prospects in 2030

A new study by Fraunhofer IAO examined future employment and skills requirements at Volkswagen. Among the primary finding is that the scenario of largescale job losses by 2030, i.e. in vehicle manufacturing as a result of e-mobility will be much lower than predicted in previous global studies, especially when companies take strategic countermeasures.
