SK Innovation hires personnel for new US plants

SK Innovation has announced that it will hire more than 1,000 skilled workers by the end of 2021 in preparation for its first of two battery cell factories in the US. Both plants will be in the state of Georgia and produce cells for more than 300,000 electric vehicles per year.

Corvus Energy batteries for five all-electric ferries

Corvus Energy has been contracted to supply the battery systems for five new all-electric ferries to be built by Holland Shipyards for the transport company GVB in Amsterdam. The first electric ferry should be delivered in summer next year.

BYD has now started operations at its battery factory in Brazil.
