83 hydrogen gas stations went online in 2019

A total of 83 hydrogen filling stations went into operation worldwide in 2019, 36 of them in Europe, 38 in Asia, 8 in North America and one in the Arabic peninsula. In Germany 22 filling stations were added.

Norway sold 4,236 new electric cars in January

4,236 electric cars were newly registered in Norway in the first month of the new year. The market share of BEV in passenger car registrations was thus 44.3%. By far the most popular model across all drive systems was the Audi e-tron.

Newest CAM study shows Tesla as EV sales leader

With record sales of 367,000 passenger cars in 2019, Tesla has increased its deliveries by 50% and thus became by far the strongest selling electric car manufacturer in the past year, ahead of the Chinese manufacturer BYD with 219,000 new energy vehicles.

CAM study finds USA and China EV markets in decline

In the two most important markets for e-mobility, new car sales in 2019 as a whole were down, as CAM notes in its latest industry study Electromobility Report 2020. Germany, on the other hand, has the highest gains worldwide – if you include PHEVs.

Exactly 6,086 electric cars were newly registered in Norway in September. With a market share of 54.5 per cent, around one in two new registrations was a passenger car with pure electric drive. The most successful model of all drive types was the Tesla Model 3.

Exactly 3,484 electric cars were newly registered in Norway in July. Compared to the same month last year, it is an increase of 51.9 per cent. In addition, there were 2,285 new cars with a hybrid drive, including 943 PHEVs.

The International Energy Agency IEA says there are now over 3 million plug-in vehicles on the roads worldwide, 54% more than last year. The biggest markets were China and the USA but the Nordics beat them when it comes to marketshare.

Norway: Over half of all car sales were plug-ins in March

March marks yet another record month in Norwegian plug-in sales as the country registers a total of 8,034 electric cars and plug-in hybrids. PEVs thus took a marketshare of 55.8 percent, with most of them being all-electric, pointing at yet another record.

Number of PEVs has passed 3 million globally

By the start of 2018 the number of vehicles with electric motors, range extenders or plug-in hybrid systems have reached a global 3.2 million units, according to a ZSW survey. China is leading with around 1.2m NEVs driving around the country.
