Framo to present 40-tonne electric truck at NUFAM

The German electric-conversion specialist Framo will present its first fully-electric semitrailer tractor with 400 kW power at the end of September. Framo is also currently working on the market launch of the 3.0 battery generation with significantly increased energy density.

Iveco owner CNH invests in Nikola

CNH Industrial joins Nikola, the US startup specialising in fuel cell and battery-electric trucks, with 250 million dollars. The investment is part of a new round of financing in which Nikola intends to generate more than a billion dollars in capital.

Hyundai plans for 17 electric utility vehicles by 2025

Hyundai announced plans to develop a total of 17 electric commercial vehicles they want market-ready by 2025, by which time the South Korean manufacturer plans to have expanded its range of commercial vehicles to include seven battery-electric and ten fuel cell models.

Alpiq and H2 to use hydroelectric power for hydrogen

Alpiq and H2 Energy (H2E) are planning Switzerland’s first plant for the production of hydrogen in commercial operation. From the end of 2019, hydrogen for the first 50 of a total of 1,600 fuel cell trucks will be produced at the Gösgen hydroelectric power station using hydroelectric power.
