Japan: New Fuso product and design centre opened

Nikola to release BEV version of their H² trucks

Nikola Motor announced battery electric variants for their hydrogen trucks Nikola Two and Nikola Tre, which will be offered in addition to the fuel cell versions. There will be three battery capacities to choose from: 500 kWh, 750 kWh and 1,000 kWh.

DAF e-truck is trial-ready for Jumbo supermarkets

Epiroc electrifies underground mining vehicles

The Swedish company Epiroc has introduced the second generation of their electrified vehicles for underground mining. The vehicles were developed in cooperation with Northvolt and ABB and include a 42-tonne truck, a 14 tonne and an 18-tonne loader, and a series of drills.

EU Parliament agrees on CO2 reduction targets for trucks

The EU Parliament has voted in favour of binding CO2 limits for trucks. In their resolution, parliamentarians decided on stronger reduction targets than those proposed by the EU Commission. Parliament wants CO2 reduction targets for trucks with a 20 percent reduction by 2025 and 35 percent by 2030.

The EU Parliament’s environmental committee has made the first step towards a legal CO2 emission limit for trucks. The plan to reduce CO2 emissions by 35% from trucks by 2035 has been approved, with an interim goal of 20% set for 2025.
