Ford & SK launch construction of BlueOval City
In the US state of Tennessee, construction work has begun on the first joint battery and electric car factory of Ford and SK On. A new all-electric pickup truck and batteries for electric vehicles from Ford and Lincoln are to be produced there from the planned opening in 2025.

FedEx Office trials Ford E-Transit vans in nine US markets

Inflation Reduction Act passes the US House of Representatives
The Inflation Reduction Act, which also includes the reform of the EV tax credit, has now passed the House of Representatives after the Senate and is expected to be signed by President Joe Biden in the coming days. Tata plans to take over Ford factory in India
Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML), a subsidiary of India’s largest car manufacturer Tata Motors, has signed a contract with Ford India to take over a Ford plant in Sanand in the Indian state of Gujarat. Tata plans to build electric cars there in the future.

Speedy acquires 150 Ford E-Transit vans
UK construction equipment and services provider Speedy is adding 150 new electric vans to its fleet. The firm has ordered 100 Ford E-Transit models (4.25 t class) and 50 E-Transit vans (3.5 t class) to replace ICE models. The 150 units will make up over ten per cent of Speedy’s 1,100-strong commercial fleet.

Ford F-150 Lightning comes well adapted to Tesla cars
Ford’s F-150 Lightning EV now include charging adapters that can charge a Tesla should it require on-road assistance. Ford CEO Jim Farley on Twitter dismissed any suggestions that they were “trolling” Musk or Tesla owners. Instead, he says the charging feature is “just helpful.”
