Nissan fleet sales.
Nissan sold 7,500 of its electric Leaf and e-NV200 to fleet operators in Europe this past fiscal year. That is an increase of 45 percent compared to the year before and a new record. To date, a total of 20,000 Nissan have been sold to fleet customers on the old continent.

The race for a better battery for the Formula E is on, and Williams might get some competition from Rimac, ElectricAutosport reports. So far, the British engineering company is the sole supplier, but the electric racing series is looking for someone building stronger batteries to be used during seasons 3 and 4.
SK seeks access to China: The battery maker intends to grow its electric vehicle business in China by buying into the Chinese CIAM Group in exchange for selling off its SK (Chongqing) Lithium Battery Material Company. CIAM shares would enable SK to sell more EV batteries in China.
New motor line for Zoe and Twizy: Renault is introducing new trim levels for both the Twizy and Zoe in the UK to streamline its offering. The move serves to include the new electric motor known as the R240. It increases range and is more compact.
Magna to acquire Getrag: The two companies signed a sales agreement for approximately 1.75 billion euros (1.9bn dollars). Getrag is the world’s largest (by volume) OEM-independent supplier of automotive transmissions, including hybrid systems.
Less conversion, more charge: A research team from Kettering University is working with Hella on a new level 2 charger that offers 97 percent efficiency (+3%) and features a 2- instead of 3-stage design. A prototype can be expected in October.

Porsche 918 Spyder eAxle: The eAxle system used on the 918 Spyder was developed in conjunction with GKN. It supports full-electric mode, all-wheel drive and provides a boost function. The module has maximum power of 95 kW and can deliver up to 1500 Nm of torque to the front wheels via a fixed gear ratio. At speeds above 265 km/h, a clutch isolates the electric motor to prevent it from over-spinning.
Dual-clutch potential: Getrag kicked off production of its seven-speed dual clutch transmission at its plant in Neuenstein, Germany. Hybrid versions of the 7DCT300 can be used in vehicles without major changes in installation space, starting in 2016. The transmission will also be produced in China.
