Over half a million NEVs sold in China over February
Around 525,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs) were sold in China in February 2023, 55.9 per cent more than in the same month last year and 28.7 per cent more than in January 2023. BYD accounted for the largest number of vehicles – both NEVs and pure battery-electric cars.

Nio to release an ET5 station wagon in Europe

Nio plants own battery plant in China
EV maker Nio is looking to build its first battery plant for round cells. News agency Reuters first broke the story, citing two people familiar with the project. The plant will have an annual capacity of 40 GWh and will be located next to Nio’s main manufacturing hub in Hefei City, China.

Deutsche Bahn brings autonomous vehicles into public transport
In the German state of Hesse, Germany’s national rail services Deutsche Bahn (DB) has announced a major project with automated shuttles, using electric vehicles from the Chinese manufacturer Nio. More than 100 on-demand vehicles will be in operation by the end of the year, serving more than 3,000 virtual stops in lower-density and rural areas.
