Porsche to reinvest in Zuffenhausen plant
VW’s sports car subsidiary Porsche wants to invest around 500 million euros in its main plant in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. The money is to be used to convert the production lines of the 718 series with Boxster and Cayman for the production of the purely electric successor generation.

ES: Porsche & Iberdrola open first ultra-rapid charging hub
As part of its cooperation with Porsche, the Spanish energy supplier Iberdrola has installed what it claims is the largest ultra-fast charging park for electric cars in southern Europe. It is on the A70 motorway in Elche, Alicante, and one of 35 planned HPC hubs.

Porsche takes home two Formula E wins from Mexico
Porsche won the first race since the factory entry two years ago at the third Formula E round of the season in Mexico City – it was the first victory for a Porsche Formula race car in over 30 years. Pascal Wehrlein won for team-mate André Lotterer and two-time champion Jean-Eric Vergne.

Taycan sets a charging record in the USA
The Porsche Taycan has set a new official Guinness World Record in the USA for the shortest charging time of an EV during a coast-to-coast drive. Wayne Gerdes completed the 2,834.5-mile trip from L.A. to New York in a 2021 Taycan with a cumulative charge time of 2 hours, 26 minutes and 48 seconds.

Porsche rakes in Guinness World Record
The Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo has set an official Guinness World Record with around 5,000 metres of altitude covered. A team drove the electric car from the lowest point they could reach with a vehicle in the USA to one of the highest in just over 24 hours.

Artemis withdrawal will cost Porsche millions
Porsche will have to dig deep into its pockets to withdraw from the VW Group’s Artemis project. In order not to have to build the model at VW Commercial Vehicles in Hanover, the Stuttgart-based company is paying a “small three-digit million amount”, or at least 100 million euros, according to a media report.
