BEVs reach 77% market share in Norway over September
A total of 11,384 electric cars were newly registered in Norway in September, giving them a market share of 77.7 per cent of new passenger car registrations in the country. In addition, there were 1,669 new plug-in hybrids. With 3,063 new registrations, the Tesla Model Y topped the list among all drive types.

Tesla back on track with vehicle deliveries
Tesla reports that it manufactured 365,923 cars and delivered 343,830 units in the third quarter of this year. This means that the electric car maker is back on track for growth after a weak second quarter. The Grünheide plant is now contributing 2,000 Model Ys per week.

Giga Berlin still has no functioning fire alarm system
The Tesla car factory in Grünheide still does not have a functioning fire alarm system. The facility has neither fire alarms nor sprinkler systems that are currently operational, which are temporarily replaced by eight employees on duty around the clock as fire guards patrolling around the factory.

Uber has expanded its Comfort Electric service to 24 US cities and Vancouver, Canada. The company had launched Comfort Electric to build on deals with rental companies like Hertz. The latter is helping Uber drivers get their hands on Tesla and other premium electric vehicles.

There’s no easy-going for Tesla’s Autopilot in Germany
Tesla has to improve its driver assistance system Autopilot in Germany once more. The Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) identified weaknesses in the system months ago. Tesla has since been able to resolve some of the complaints, but according to a KBA spokesperson, “further remedial measures are still being tested and validated”.

UFODrive launches Tesla rentals in San Francisco
Europe’s electric car rental company UFODrive landed in San Francisco, making the city the first foray into the United States. Their US launch follows the company’s rapid growth in European cities, including London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam and Dublin, since its founding in 2018.
