New Flyer to supply 20 more e-buses in Ohio (COTA)

Nikola to move Romeo battery production to Arizona

After acquiring battery maker Romeo Power last year, Nikola Motor is now relocating its battery production from Cypress, California, to Nikola’s own plant in Coolidge in the state of Arizona. The move is expected to be completed by mid-2023.

VW recalls 1,042 units of the rear-wheel drive ID.4 built at the Chattanooga plant in the US. In the affected vehicles, the charging cable of the 12-volt battery can touch the steering column shaft and could lead to a short circuit if the cable insulation is worn out.

US government funds twelve battery research projects

The US Department of Energy is funding a total of twelve projects to develop better battery cells for electric vehicles with 42 million dollars as part of the ‘Electric Vehicles for American Low-Carbon Living’ (EVs4ALL) programme. The new cells should be able to be charged faster and be more efficient and resistant.
