Volvo & Polestar to charge into Australia in 2020

The notoriously underserved electric car market in Australia can look ahead to a better 2020. Volvo and Polestar are planning to bring two electric cars and a PHEV to the continent in 2020. Besides, Mini is readying the all-electric Cooper for entry as well.

Polestar opens first factory in China

Volvo’s electric car subsidiary Polestar opened its first production facility today. At the new facility in Chengdu, China, the 441 kW Polestar 1 PHEV coupe is manufactured for China and export markets.

Zaragoza integrates hybrid buses in fleet

The Spanish city of Zaragoza has put 17 Volvo hybrid buses into operation. The next expansion is already planned: In September, 18 hybrid articulated buses and four electric buses will be added to the fleet.
