Elon Musk announced in a blog post that all of Tesla’s patents have been made available, so other carmakers can learn from and copy the Californian’s technology.
“It is not about speed to market, it is about getting it right, and the diligent set-up of public private partnerships in infrastructure are steps in the right direction to make this a reality.”
Volker Blandow, head of e-mobility at TÜV SÜD AG, talks about electric mobility in Asia, saying authorities need to introduce favourable framework and incentives for EVs, and that major stakeholders will need to be patient for people to really be ready for a new kind of mobility.
