Luke Tonachel, senior analyst of the Natural Resources Defense Council, believes that dealers are (partly) to blame for the slow uptake of EVs. His belief is based on research by the University of California-Davis.

Takehiko-Kikuchi“As consumers realise the EV is more economical, hybrids will no longer have meaning.”

Takehiko Kikuchi, CEO of Nissan Korea, leaves no doubt that he believes in the Japanese company’s strategy to go all electric or nothing.

Brian-Smith-Lexus“They’ll probably come back. I think the question remains to be seen how many people will buy a second Tesla.”

Lexus’ VP of Marketing, Brian Smith, admits that his brand might have lost a few customers to Tesla but does not think there is a problem with the Lexus offering as such.
