Baroness-Kramer“London has more chargepoints than petrol stations.”

UK transport minister Baroness Kramer is claiming that the coalition has raised the number of EVs threefold compared to last year to now 6,000 units sold in the first six months of 2014. Finally, the EV promotion seems to bear some fruits.

Laurent-Abadie“The development with Tesla is catching a lot of attention in Europe. It could bring some acceleration to this industry. Especially the German carmakers are trying to catch up.”

Laurent Abadie, head of Panasonic Europe, is eyeing the European EV market keenly. Probably he already lines up potential customers for Tesla’s Gigafactory in his mind.

Toby-Perry-Nissan“Leaf owners have become our most effective marketers. Their enthusiasm for their Leaf and its benefits drives family, friends and co-workers to consider and purchase one for themselves. This has a viral effect, where one Leaf sale in a neighborhood or office often triggers several additional sales.”

Toby Perry, Nissan’s director of Electric Vehicle Marketing, is naming existing customers as the best marketing the company can have for its electric offering. Nissan is sponsoring this weeks National Drive Electric Week that includes more than 130 grassroots events all across the States.
