Another EV tax? Wyoming is thinking about issuing a new bill, taxing what legislators call alternative fuels, together with a separate fee for electric vehicles. The tax is intended to pay for the upkeep of roads and signage.

Sweden’s next hydrogen fuelling station is to be set up at Gothenburg and is expected to be open in January 2015. The initiative is led by Hydrogen Sweden in association with the region Västra Götaland, the EU and fuel cell companies like PowerCell Sweden AB and Oy Woikoski.

Crossing New Zealand electrically: Craig Salmon is about to complete his trip from Cape Reinga to Bluff and back in his 2012 Nissan Leaf. While he had no problems charging his electric car along the way, he still concludes that New Zealand could do more with public fast charging stations.
