“This is awesome, this is cool. My hair kind of stood up a little bit.”
U.S. Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx apparently got the goosebumps when trying Google’s autonomous EV which was a bit unnerving – exciting too, of course. Foxx chose the internet corporations HQ to unveil his vision for transport in 2045.
“We believe any surplus from ULEZ charging should be ring-fenced for investment in improving air quality in London, such as electric buses, electric charging points and sustainable surface transport.”
Councillor Julian Bell, Chair of London Councils’ Transport and Environment Committee (TEC), is asking Transport for London (TfL) to look beyond the Ultra Low Emission Zone scheme and not only ban polluting vehicles from the city centre but also to introduce more cleaner means of transport.
“We target to sell 185 i8s and already 100 people have preordered the car. Together with the i3, we aim to sell 450 electric vehicles.”
Kim Hyo-joon, CEO of BMW Korea, has what seems like rather moderate sales targets for the electric BMWs in South Korea given that the country is BMW 8th largest market with over 40,000 units sold in 2014 and growing.
