April's fools.

Apparently, not even journalists always double-check their facts and so our dear colleagues have spread a few false news – some deliberately so. Here is the best of April Fool’s day.

++ In Japan, the BMW i3 can now be ordered via Amazon and boasts 300 km range all of a sudden. The media was in a fool’s frenzy. ++ The RoamR stove is a wood-powered range extender for PHEVs that comes with a carefully controlled burn-rate. ++ Renault fooled folks with a new side-by-side seating configuration for the Twizy. ++ Lastly, the Guardian reports on a purified Jeremy Clarkson as the fired Top Gear presenter became the new face of the Divest Fossil Fuels campaign. “This is Planet Everybloodybody,” right?! ++

With hearty laughter we set the start to a long Easter weekend. The next edition of electrive.com is due on Tuesday, 7th April. Happy Easter!
