Elon-Musk-Twitter“If you add up all the subsidies that Solar City and Tesla get, historical and going forward, it is one-thousandth of what the oil and gas industry get in a single year. And no mention is made of that.”

Elon Musk comments on a LA Times article saying his companies received incentives worth 4.9 billion dollars. He says that the money was given over a period of time and some projects will take 20 years to complete. So the notion that he got “some huge check” is “fundamentally false.”

Andy-Marsh“It’s clear to me we can be a $500 million business.”

Andy Marsh, CEO of U.S. fuel cell maker Plug Power, hopes to reach 500 million dollars in annual revenue by 2020. To put that into perspective, the company had 9.4 million dollars in revenue during the first quarter of 2015.

Ian-Wright“I think what they’ve done is absolutely fantastic, but what we’re doing is the next thing. It’s even better.”

Ian Wright, head of Wrightspeed and co-founder of Tesla, wants to electrify the market for commercial trucks. Even though they are not as sleek as a Tesla or will have that kind of torque, Wright believes that he is headed in the right direction.
