At some point, we will bring the technology to our compact cars as our CO2 targets are important for the environment. The UK leads the worldwide market in terms of CO2 relevance.”
Dirk Streichert, head of development of Compact Cars at Mercedes, is trying to assert some reassurance, as he also announced that the GLC plug-in can only be expected in Great Britain in “one or two years,” much later than in the rest of Europe.
