Huge hydrogen project: Hydrogen Mobility Europe (H2ME) will push FCV uptake in Europe with 63m euros. Further funding comes from the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU). The project will support the deployment of 325 fuel cell vehicles and 29 hydrogen refuelling stations in 10 countries.

Electric strategy: Vienna has agreed on a new strategy to electrify the Austrian capital. This time, politics will concentrate on electric cars as pedelecs are believed to have been integrated already. Fleets, deliveries and taxis are to become increasingly electric, while more charging infrastructure will be funded to attract private buyers.

Hybrid buses in Scotland: Lothian Buses will introduce 25 hybrid vehicles by Volvo by mid- to late 2017 in Edinburgh. Costs are around 12m pounds with funding being sought from the Scottish Green Bus Fund. The hybrid buses will be used on most polluted routes.
