Elon Musk might have been encouraged by recent attempts to realise his Hyperloop vision as he has yet another idea, and, most importantly, the promise to make a dream come true. We would certainly say “yes” to electric flying and instant take-off.

Mark Thompson, Innovate UK’s lead technologist for energy systems, tries to disperse fears that using EV batteries for grid support would mean instability and degrade power packs too quickly. He hopes for “as many as 300,000 EV or hybrid vehicles on UK roads by 2025.”
