Elon Musk, Mark LaNeve, Joel Levin.

Elon-Musk-Twitter“In retrospect, it would have been a better decision to do fewer things with the first version of Model X, and then roll in the capabilities and features on new technologies over time, in subsequent years. So I do think that there was some hubris there with the Model X.”

Tesla CEO Elon Musk calls the electric SUV one of the best ever made, but notes that the fact that it comes with so many new technologies and features is keeping the carmaker from ramping up production as soon and quickly as they had hoped.

Mark-LaNeve“To meet the future targets, there will be more electrified vehicles across all segments, cars, utilities, everything.”

Ford’s vice president of marketing, sales, and services, Mark LaNeve discusses future electrification efforts for the company’s upcoming SUVs. By providing great fuel efficiency, LaNeve believes that people will opt for smaller utility vehicles, but not only passenger cars.

Joel-Levin“The case for EVs is a compelling one, even in a world of cheap oil.”

Joel Levin, executive director at Plug In America, argues that despite low petrol prices, EVs have a future because they are simply better cars. He compares them to mobile phones, which he says people chose because of the quality and technological advances and not because of a lower monthly bill.
