Matthias-Mueller“All-electric ranges of over 500 km are feasible by the end of the decade. Charging will only take as long as a coffee break. And in the long term an electric car will cost less than a car with an internal combustion engine.”

Volkswagen CEO Matthias Müller paints a bright picture of the not so far future. We would love to sit down for that coffee with him while charging our economy electric VW sooner rather than later.

Karl-Thomas-Neumann-Opel“It will break-down the two main hurdles of electric mobility: the short driving range and the high price.”

Opel CEO Karl-Thomas Neumann is excited, as he promotes the Ampera aka Chevy Bolt EV in Geneva as “the electric car” that will eventually break all market boundaries. Wolfsburg is surely listening. (in German)

Jeffrey-B-Straubel“We don’t really need more performance; we don’t really need much more range; we need to focus on cost.”

Tesla-CTO JB Straubel promotes the Model 3, which will be the company’s first foray into the broader market segment.
